FAQs Q. Once on campus, where do I go?A. If you're joining us for Sunday morning Worship, then enter the Worship Center Foyer from the parking lot by coming in under the big cross. Greeters will be standing by to welcome you & show you around. If you're joining us for a Sunday morning Bible study, feel free to enter the same way, & greeters can direct you & your kids to the right On-campus HomeTeam for you. If you're joining us for a sporting event. just enter the Family Life Center (the steel structure on the north end of our campus). Q. How should I dress for worship?A. On any given Sunday, you will find a comfortable mixture of attire. Some ladies wear dresses, but most do not. Most men either wear slacks or jeans (if you come in a coat & tie, you will probably feel overdressed). Please know that we come to church to focus on the Lord & one another, not on what people are wearing. Q. Where do I take my kids for worship? A. Your children are always welcome to stay in Worship with you. If you prefer, we offer a professional nursery for children birth through 4-years-old, & children's church (Worship KidStyle) for kids 4-years-old through the fifth grade. Simply enter the Worship Center Foyer, & one of our helpful greeters or church members will be happy to take you to the nursery or to the children's church area. Please make sure to fill out the necessary forms when you arrive (or you can print them out from here & bring them completed to expedite your experience: Baby Form (0 - 18-months), Toddler Form (18-months - 4-years-old), Worship KidStyle Form (4-years-old - 4th grade). Q. What time should I arrive? A. If you're joining us for Sunday Worship, we start promptly at 11:00 am. On-campus HomeTeams (Bible studies) start at 9:30 am. If you're running a little late, don't let that stop you from joining us. Please come in & make yourself at home. Q. Once I enter the Worship Center, where do I sit? A. We have plenty of very comfortable seats. Make yourself at home. We do not have reserved seating, so just sit where you feel comfortable. Q. What do I need to bring to Worship? A. Our pastor preaches relevant messages from the Bible, so if you have a copy of the Bible, bring it. If you don't have a Bible of your own, just let our greeters know that you need one, & they can either give you one to keep or to borrow for the service. Our pastor mainly uses the Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB version) in his messages, but having a version that you can understand & are comfortable with is most important. Message notes pages are usually included in the bulletin that you will receive from our greeters. Bring a pen or pencil to fill in the blanks & write down other pertinent notes. Q. As a visitor, what will I be expected to do or say in Worship? A. You are our guest. We would never put you on the spot. You are invited to join us as we worship through singing, praying, & interacting with God's Word. You will not be expected to say anything. We won't put you on the spot. While you are very important to us, please understand that we come to Worship to focus our lives on God Almighty. You are invited to do the same. We would like for you to fill out a Guest Card (usually in the back of the seats), & drop it in one of the offering receptacles. Q. How do I become a member of Bethel Baptist Church? A. Becoming a member of Bethel Baptist Church is really rather simple, but it does require some definite steps. A person desiring membership in Bethel must have fulfilled the following requirements: 1. Placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation and forgiveness of sin, and committed their life to Him. (If you have further questions about placing your faith in Jesus Christ, just go to the "find hope" page, or contact us. We love walking people through the process of trusting Jesus & living for Him.) 2. Been baptized by immersion under water after having placed their faith in Jesus. 3. Completed “Discovering Church Membership 101.” 4. Agree with and desire to abide by the “Bethel Membership Covenant.” If any person desiring to join the membership of Bethel is already a member of another Baptist church of like faith, then they may present themselves at any church service, and fulfill steps 3 & 4 above. After the Bethel office has secured a letter of dismissal or proper credentials from the church the candidate is coming from, then Bethel membership will be complete. If any person desiring to join the membership of Bethel is a member of a church of another denomination, or of an independent church, they may become a member of Bethel upon a statement of their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and the fulfillment of the steps 3 & 4 above, and step 2, if they were not baptized by immersion as a Believer. If you have any questions about any of these steps please contact us. We love to walk folks through the process of finding the right church family for them.
