How can I know God? How can I connect personally, intimately with Him? Where can I find the answers to my questions & the solutions to my issues?
God's Word, The Bible, is His revelation of Himself to us. The Bible is relevant for every person of every time in every place & situation. It gives us the foundation, framework & fulfillment for life.
We HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to use a Bible translation that you can understand. If you do not own a copy of The Bible, let one of our Greeters know on any Sunday morning, & we will be happy to give you your very own copy of God's Word. 3 Ways to Connect with The Bible 1. Hear God's Word every Sunday during our Worship Services. Every sermon is always directly & plainly from The Bible. 2. Read some of The Bible every day. See the suggested reading guide below. 3. Study The Bible, with other folks just like you, by visiting a HomeTeam (Bible Study Small Group). See the HomeTeam Directory link below to find a group that works for you.

loving people
THE MEANING After Jesus answered the question concerning the most important thing for us to do, He gave a bonus answer. He said that the second most important thing for us to do is to "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39). As a church, we of Bethel, seek to express our love for others in our actions, our words & our attitudes. We're not perfect, but our Lord is, & we strive to love people like He does. Bethel is a diverse church where people are loved because they are part of the human race, created in God's image. While we seek to express love to all people, all the time, personal & powerful relationships are developed within smaller groups that we call HomeTeams.
HomeTeams (Bible Study Small Groups) HomeTeams are gatherings of folks who have common desire to love God and love people. We have HomeTeams for all age groups. We have HomeTeams that meet on our campus, and HomeTeams that meet in homes, offices, & sometimes other locations. We have HomeTeams just for ladies, and HomeTeams just for men. We offer HomeTeam meetings at various times throughout the week, so that everyone can find a group where they can love people, and be loved.
The HomeTeam idea is not new. The very first church (the proto-church) was the church in Jerusalem, & when we read the earliest writings (found in the book of Acts in the Bible) about how it functioned, we find that the Christians met in the Temple courts for prayer, and from house to house. Bethel HomeTeams meet in the 21st Century for the same purposes that the house groups met in the First Century: Bible study, prayer, fellowship, to share the good news about Jesus Christ, & to help meet the needs of others.
