Tim Davis, Senior Pastor
Tim Davis is our Senior Pastor. Tim served as our Minister with Students & Recreation from April of 1998 until becoming our pastor in August of 2010. A graduate of Conroe High School, East Texas Baptist University & Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Tim was called by the Lord into the Gospel ministry at 15. He has served as youth pastor for Friendship Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas & Henderson Street Baptist Church in Cleburne, Texas. Tim loves sharing the Word of God with all ages, & helping guide folks to the Lord Jesus. Tim is committed to establishing God's Kingdom on earth in the hearts of men & women, & boys & girls. He serves as a Member at Large on the Pineywoods Baptist Encampment Board of Trustees, & a Member of the House of Healing Foundation Board. He has served as camp pastor for preteen camps, youth camps, girls camps & senior adult camps. Formerly a PowerPlus Preteen Camp Director, he now serves as the Missions Coordinator for the four sessions of PowerPlus Preteen Camp, & he continues to serve as the Camp Director for one of the four sessions of PowerPlus Youth Camp. Tim loves serving in mission work around the world (Arlington, Houston, South Padre Island (Texas), Wisconsin, Colorado, Moldova, Costa Rica, Haiti, Ukraine, Transnistria & Guatemala). Tim has taught in local school Bible clubs for more than two decades. Tim is deeply committed to sharing the Scriptures in a dignified, understandable, applicable way. While very conservative in his theology, he is flexible in his methodology. Tim enjoys spending time with the Lord, studying the Bible, praying, working out, drinking coffee, eating Blue Bell ice cream (which makes working out more difficult), hiking in the Rocky Mountains, boating, fishing, coaching softball & basketball, cheering for Houston sports, hanging out with friends, having fun with his three daughters & two sons-in-law, & spending lots of time with his wife of 30+ years, Julie. Julie is founder of Texas Bible English, is Director of our New Caney ESL ministry, & serves in many of the other Bethel ministries.
Rodolfo Mérida, Mission Pastor
Pastor Rodolfo Mérida faithfully serves as the pastor of La Iglesia Bautista La Hermosa (Bethel's Spanish Mission). Pastor Rodolfo is a US citizen originally from Guatemala. Rodolfo is a fantastic Bible teacher and Spirit-filled pastoral administrator. Pastor Rodolfo is also a gifted musician, & a highly-valued associate with the Walmart Corporation. What he enjoys most is time with his lovely, and gifted, wife Indalia and their daughter Sandra. They love serving the Lord as missionaries to Guatemala every year. Sister Inda is a US citizen originally from Mexico. She serves as a Member of the House of Healing Foundation Board, is Assistant Director of our New Caney ESL ministry, & serves in many of the other La Hermosa ministries.
Johnny Turner, Associate Pastor
Johnny Turner serves as our Associate Pastor. Johnny is a graduate of New Caney High School & East Texas Baptist University. He served as the Youth Pastor of Holly Brook Baptist Church in Hawkins, Texas for more than four years. Johnny has served in missions with us in Moldova, Transnistria, Guatemala, & Arlington. Johnny enjoys participating in a variety of sports, teaching the Bible, worshiping the Lord, & helping others fall in love with Christ. He especially loves fun with his wife Grace, & their son John River.
Bro. Jim Palmer, Pastor Emeritus
Bro. Jim Palmer has retired from our pastorate after serving as our Senior Pastor for 27 1/2 years. After more than 20 years with Southwestern Bell Telephone, the Lord called Bro. Jim into the Gospel ministry. A graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Bro. Jim loves preaching & teaching God's Word. He enjoys sharing the truth of salvation through Jesus Christ only with everyone he can. Bro. Jim also loves spending time with his grandchildren, & cruising on his trike with Sis. Pat, his bride of more than 60 years. The Palmers continue to serve Bethel & the Lord in retirement.
