Teams from Bethel have served numerous times in Costa Rica since 2000, leading vacation Bible schools, completing construction projects in mission churches, & sharing the Gospel with hundreds of amazing people. We began our service through the mission endeavors of PIBD (Primera Iglesia Bautista Desamparados, Costa Rica). In 2017, we renewed our partnership with Iglesia Bautista El Redil in Boca de Arenal, San Carlos, Costa Rica. In 2018, we gave a love offering to help El Redil roof & partially-enclose an education area. In 2019, a team of 5 Bethelonians provided vacation Bible school in partnership with the members of El Redil. In 2020, a team of 10 Bethelonians returned to provide vacation Bible school & teach English.
On Sunday, February 17, 2019 our pastor challenged us to provide a new, safe, healthy home for a Costa Rican family in need, & to provide the funds for a kitchen facility to be built in the El Redil Baptist Church in Boca de Arenal, Costa Rica. The financial goal for the Costa Rica House was $20,000, & the financial goal for the Costa Rica Church was $3,000. PRAISE THE LORD!!! We have met the $3,000 goal for El Redil!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!! We have met the $20,000 goal for the Costa Rica House!!! Please pray for the home to be built very well & very soon.

2021 Update: Our mission trip to Costa Rica has been officially suspended for 2021. We will continue to support our sister church El Redil Baptist Church in Boca de Arenal through praying & giving financially. Unless the Lord opens a door sooner, we are currently planning to return to Costa Rica in January 2022 to lead Vacation Bible School.

The video shows the progression of work on the El Redil Kitchen/Fellowship Facility. Bethel members gave sacrificially & members of El Redil worked diligently to complete their kitchen in Boca de Arenal, Costa Rica. The first meal the church served was a Sunday lunch to raise funds for their youth ministry. Praise the Lord for the lives that will be changed through the ministry of Pastor Rigo & Iglesia Bautista El Redil! |
